Home checks will generally be conducted on a weekly basis.  However, efforts will be made to vary the days and times so as to prevent  the establishment of a routine that is recognizable to outsiders.  On occasion, home checks may be conducted after dark to check on lighting.

The key(s) to your property will be stored in a secure key lock box. Addresses and codes will be stored on a secured computer.

It is the purpose and mission of j-cons to be "Another set of eyes", the "friendly neighbor" or "house sitter" who watches over your home during your absence. Please remember: Insurance claims on your home may not be covered if the home is unattended for too long.

We do not rely on third party providers in regards to our home watch service. We conduct all the home checks ourself.

Notification of inspection results after each inspection:

• No problems-e-mail confirmation or post card if you don’t have e-mail
• In case of any findings, we will e-mail our results along with photos documenting any unsatisfactory conditions. We will then co-ordinate with certified service providers for remedy with your approval*

  • Landscape maintenance
  • House cleaners
  • Alarm company
  • Handyman
  • Mechanic
  • Family
  • Friends
• Ensure both inside and outside lighting are on timers
• Exterior plants and yard are on automatic watering systems
• Remove or secure any valuables
